My name is Kathy Knapp, founder of Kathy Knapp Coaching. As a money mindset coach, I support women by helping them have a more empowered relationship with money so they can have more of it. I help women feel better about money. Money can be a sensitive topic and can be loaded with guilt and shame, I provide a safe space to share your story and help you develop new thoughts and practices to support you.
As graduate of Indiana University with over 25 years of experience in credit reporting and financial services, I have seen the importance of money management. Money management is a by-product of your money mindset. I started taking budgeting and savings seriously early in my career and it has afforded me the opportunity to travel, spend time with my friends and family, and purchase and renovate my home. My savings plan allowed me to have an emergency fund and contribute to my retirement, giving me peace of mind. Understanding how money works gave me the money confidence to act. Action is a result of that money confidence. Along with setting up systems to manage money I also work with clients to recognize the shift in thoughts and develop new mindset shifts to support their new wealth.
Prior to starting Kathy Knapp Coaching, I coached a close friend, and I loved seeing the positive impact it had on their life then and now. With the support and encouragement of family and friends, I decided to make my business coaching women on their relationship with money. I knew that I could really help my fellow women, with my empathetic ear and great money management skills and I love being able to service a real need. I believe financial security provides power of choice and is attainable and deserved by all women.
I live in the western suburbs of Chicago with my fiance, Kevin. One of my life’s goals was to own a lake house. As a result of my early investing and savings, I was able to fulfill that dream in 2018. It has been an amazing escape on the weekends for us and friends/family. In my spare time, I love playing tennis and golfing, reading, watching TV/movies, and traveling.
In April 2023, I received my coaching certification from iPEC Coaching.
If you have ever considered a financial advisor but don’t ever have enough money to invest – let me help you fill that gap. I help women have a more empowered relationship with money, so they have enough to hire a financial advisor for investing.
